Certified Nutrition Assistant

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Nutrition Assistant Certifier I or II to join our team. As a Nutrition Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Enroll and orient WIC participants, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Deliver benefits and maintain accurate client charts, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Perform preliminary participant risk assessments and provide basic nutrition education, identifying and making referrals as needed.
- Assist with clerical support, including completing participant reports, maintaining records, and generating monthly statistics.
- Valid state driver's license and access to an insured vehicle.
- High school diploma or GED required; experience with the WIC program and/or interest in nutrition desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills and verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Bilingual in English/Russian preferred but not required.
