Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Line Technician to join our team at Trane Technologies. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for performing high-level repetitive work to quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repetitive progressive line assembly of parts and sub-assemblies on various production lines, adhering to predetermined quality control methods and sequences.
  • Operate a variety of machines and tools, including power pneumatic and hand tools, to perform job duties.
  • Read, understand, and apply method sheets and assembly diagrams, as well as follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Use senses to detect quality defects and unsafe conditions, and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain and inspect tools and equipment, and create work orders for repairs as needed.
  • Support quality management systems by delivering high-quality products and services, and meeting quality objectives.
  • Work in a team environment, assisting coworkers in other areas as needed, and participate in operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED) required.
  • One year of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with and ability to utilize hand and power tools, including wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, and steel banding.
  • Experience operating fork trucks and hoists preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of and able to utilize computer systems.
  • Ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problems.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude to use equipment and maintain general understanding of business processes.
  • Ability to work within a team and perform work in a variety of environments.

  • Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift with assistance up to 80 pounds.
