Maintenance Technician III/IV 2nd Shift Position

At Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician III/IV to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment.

The Maintenance Technician III/IV will be responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on electrical, mechanical, process, utility, manufacturing, and packaging systems and equipment. This includes ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements on filling, inspection, packaging/processing equipment.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the maintenance field or a related area. They will also have experience with troubleshooting PLCs, and possess mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical knowledge and aptitude.

Additional responsibilities include providing outstanding customer service to the manufacturing and support groups, and serving as a technical resource to manufacturing and engineering groups. The Maintenance Technician III/IV will also aid in the training and development of technicians at a lower level in the career path.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on electrical, mechanical, process, utility, manufacturing, and packaging systems and equipment
  • Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements on filling, inspection, packaging/processing equipment
  • Provide outstanding customer service to the manufacturing and support groups
  • Serve as a technical resource to manufacturing and engineering groups

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the maintenance field or a related area
  • Experience with troubleshooting PLCs
  • Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical knowledge and aptitude
  • Ability to work with increasing levels of independence and self-direction
  • Ability to observe and report deficiencies

Preferred Requirements:

  • Associate's degree
  • Completion of an apprenticeship and/or formal training in an area of specialty
  • Experience in an FDA regulated (food/pharma) environment
