Position Overview:
Cleveland Clinic is actively seeking a skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience to join our Emergency Departments at various locations. Candidates must possess both Acute Care and Family or Pediatric certifications if applying as a Nurse Practitioner.


Experience Requirements:
Applicants must have prior experience in Emergency Medicine; no exceptions will be made at this time.


Shift Opportunities:
Potential for straight night shifts may be available and can be discussed during the interview process for interested candidates.


Compensation:
A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered for candidates with 3-5 years of APRN/PA Emergency Medicine experience, and $15,000 for those with over 5 years of relevant experience.


Role Responsibilities:
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will:
1. Conduct comprehensive medical histories and perform thorough physical examinations.
2. Initiate necessary lab and radiology tests to evaluate patient conditions.
3. Develop and implement treatment plans based on diagnostic findings.
4. Perform routine procedures such as injections, suturing, and wound care.
5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
6. Educate patients about their health conditions and treatment options.


Qualifications:
Education:
- For APRN: MSN required upon hire or within 5 years for external hires.
- For PA: Graduate of an A.R.C.-approved Physician Assistant Program with a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.


Certifications:
- APRN: Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, with national certification from an accredited organization.
- PA: Current certification through the NCCPA and prescriptive authority eligibility required.


Competencies:
Strong analytical and decision-making skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team are essential for success in this role.


Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, manual dexterity for physical examinations, and the capacity to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds may be necessary.
