Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Section Chief of Eye Services to join our team at the VA Northern California Health Care System. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality eye care services to our patients. This is a supervisory position that offers a unique opportunity to create a vision of growth and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the management of multiple eye clinic sites across Northern California
  • Supervise and support two Site Chiefs, one in Martinez and one in Sacramento
  • Develop and implement programs to improve eye care delivery and patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with other divisions across our Medical System to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Care for veterans in the outpatient clinic, operating room, and supervise UC Davis ophthalmology residents
Requirements
  • US Citizen or PRA
  • Board Eligible/Certified in Ophthalmology
  • Full, unrestricted medical license in any State
  • Confirmation of vaccination for seasonal influenza and Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
