We are seeking a skilled Process Technician to join our team at iMPact Business Group. As a Process Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our plastic injection molding and blow molding processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply scientific molding techniques to set up and troubleshoot processes, ensuring optimal production efficiency and quality.
- Program and maintain in-house robots to streamline production and improve productivity.
- Document and implement new and changing setup procedures to maintain process consistency.
- Lead and direct lower-level employees to achieve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics and improve process performance.
- Coordinate mold repair requests and preventative maintenance with the tool department.
- Perform mold, material, and process sampling to ensure quality and consistency.
- Suggest mold modifications to improve processes and reduce downtime.
- Conduct continuous improvement tasks to enhance productivity, reduce scrap, and improve visual aids.
- Implement cycle time improvements to increase production efficiency.
- Plan and coordinate mold change and color change events with the shift manager.
- Troubleshoot high-level process issues and provide technical support to lower-level technicians.
- Oversee mold changes and support lower-level technicians during mold changeovers.
- Execute lower-level engineering projects to improve process efficiency and quality.
- Assist with robotics and automation events to improve production efficiency.
- 3+ years of experience in a plastic injection molding or blow molding environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work overtime and flexible scheduling.
- $5,000 sign-on bonus.
- Benefits available on the 1st of the month following your start date.
