Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Auto Centers. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on customer and dealership vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify areas of concern and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues using advanced diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and provide estimates.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and safe work processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer guidelines and industry developments to ensure optimal repair techniques.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of automotive systems and components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and computerized diagnostics.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication to interact with customers and collaborate with other team members.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex automotive issues and determine the most effective repair solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision is critical in automotive repair to ensure that tasks are performed correctly and safely.
  • Customer Service Orientated: Ability to interact directly with customers, especially when discussing repairs or providing estimates.
  • Adherence to Safety Standards: Prioritization of safety in all aspects of work, including following proper procedures and handling hazardous materials responsibly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred college, community college, or automotive technician training program, vocational school, training, or combination thereof.
  • One year certificate from college, technical school, or factory apprentice program.
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
