About the Role

Airwallex is seeking an experienced transactional lawyer to lead our fast-growing commercial legal team in North America. As a key member of our Legal, Risk & Compliance team, you will support a complex set of fintech products and provide expert guidance to our Sales team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop Airwallex's US team of commercial attorneys
  • Develop and deploy scalable processes and resources for increasing the efficiency of the commercial legal team
  • Partner with Airwallex's dynamic, globally distributed commercial leadership to support the scaling GTM efforts
  • Manage a wide variety of complex commercial deals originating in the US
  • Build a strong, collaborative working relationship with our sales and partnerships teams
Requirements
  • J.D. degree and active membership in at least one US state bar
  • 10 years of experience in an in-house legal department and/or a law firm advising on legal issues related to financial services and technology platforms
  • Excellent communication, drafting, negotiation, and writing skills
  • Ability to explain complex legal concepts to various audiences

Airwallex offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $180K - $310K, equity, and bonus opportunities.
