Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Survey Technician to join our team at Westwood Professional Services, Inc. As a Survey Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting Professional Surveyors with various tasks, including CAD production, survey research, boundary analysis, exhibit preparation, legal description preparation, and survey computations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Professional Surveyors with CAD production, survey research, boundary analysis, exhibit preparation, legal description preparation, and survey computations.
  • Process raw field data through Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D.
  • Perform QA/QC checks to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Coordinate and work with field crews and other office staff to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Ensure that division, regional, and company values, policies, and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.
Requirements
  • Strong listening, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, preparation of exhibits and legal descriptions, plat preparation, and field crew prep.
  • Ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D for production activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, support project coordination, and interact with other design services.
  • Full use of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that is in growth mode.
Preferred Qualifications
  • An Associate Degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related area of study.
  • SIT or CST Certification or ability to become a Professional Surveyor.
  • Experience drafting Wind, Solar, and Power Delivery projects.
  • Coordinating activities with office personnel, including surveying technicians and engineering staff.
