Production Shift Supervisor; Sugar Refinery; MT

Position Summary:

This challenging opportunity at MRINetwork Jobs requires a skilled Production Shift Supervisor to oversee operations during designated shifts. The role entails managing production processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and maintaining a safe working environment in accordance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example in safety practices and demonstrate effective safety leadership.
  • Uphold and promote the company's core values.
  • Possess working knowledge of both Beet and Sugar ends of production.
  • Take full accountability for shift management including staff supervision, production management, and achieving quality targets.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality systems, processes, and procedures, holding employees accountable for quality produced.
  • Develop and motivate direct reports to enhance performance and engagement.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on production process performance and address any issues as they arise.
  • Facilitate clear communication among all team members, ensuring information is conveyed effectively.
  • Enforce Health and Safety regulations throughout the shift, addressing related issues promptly using available resources and company protocols.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective resolutions promptly.
  • Collaborate with other Shift Supervisors for smooth production handovers.
  • Ensure all employees are trained to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards to uphold a clean and safe workplace.
  • Optimize the use of company resources to achieve efficient operating costs.

Skill & Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma required; some college or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience preferred or relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track-record in improving safety, productivity, and quality metrics.
  • Experience in utilizing root cause analysis techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset.
  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills.
  • Results-oriented, collaborative, and friendly demeanor.

Compensation:

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually, with eligibility for overtime pay.
