About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lab Pack Chemist to join our team at Clean Earth. As a key member of our environmental remediation and waste management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and responsible handling of hazardous waste.

Job Responsibilities:

">
  • ">
  • Consolidate, treat, store, pack, transport, and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with environmentally responsible and cost-effective practices and Clean Earth policies, practices, and procedures.">
  • Provide outstanding service to clients and maintain records with accuracy and attention to detail.">
  • Conduct large and small Lab Pack projects, segregating, packing, transporting materials, and completing documentation in accordance with all governmental, customer, and Clean Earth policies, practices, and procedures.">
  • Perform on-site testing of unknown materials adhering to all regulations and company guidelines.">
  • Provide on-the-job training to Technicians and Operators in equipment operation, service line processes, and required documentation.">
  • Maintain records for DOT, DEA, and other government entities as assigned. Instruct, provide feedback, direct, and assist team members in performance of job duties to complete work in accordance with all applicable regulations and internal policies, practices, and procedures.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • An Associate's degree in environmental science, biology, or chemistry.">
  • At least 1+ year(s) of experience packing, labeling, and preparing for transportation chemicals and hazardous waste.">
  • A 40-hour Hazwoper certificate.">
  • Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in environmental, biology, or chemistry, experience leading or supervising a team, high-level knowledge of RCRA, OSHA, and DOT regulations pertaining to hazardous waste handling and transportation, awareness of DEA regulations pertaining to controlled pharmaceuticals, knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams, willingness and ability to wear company-provided personal protective equipment, CDL Class B with HazMat endorsement, or willingness to obtain at company expense, and ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.">
