Job Title: Regional Service Manager - Property Management

D.R. Horton, Inc., a leading homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking a Regional Service Manager - Property Management to maintain our Build-To-Rent communities and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction within a region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure effective planning and oversight of community maintenance, scheduling, and preventative maintenance.
  • Support, train, and guide Service Managers, Service Techs, and Operations Team members.
  • Oversee customer warranty requests, making repairs or scheduling subcontractors as needed.
  • Manage community-level maintenance teams, develop staff goals, and monitor team progress.
  • Develop and manage a preventive maintenance plan and schedule for each community.
  • Implement and manage community safety programs.
  • Conduct quarterly community evaluations and provide cost reduction recommendations.
  • Provide ongoing direction, guidance, and training to on-site service associates.
  • Recruit and interview on-site service associates.
  • Collaborate with operations leadership team members to develop policy, processes, and programs to improve service operations.
  • Evaluate, manage, and contract regional service contractors to gain economies of scale.
  • Keep informed of and provide plans for assets to accommodate changes in local, state, and federal code requirements.
  • Coordinate technical training, such as HVAC, EPA, CPO, and appliance repair.
  • Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company.
  • Effectively communicate with various support teams to ensure quality documentation, reporting, and community performance.
  • Participate in special projects planning as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Seven plus years' multi-site experience with increasingly responsible leadership positions within Facilities/Maintenance Management.
  • A vehicle capable of carrying supplies, valid driver's license with a good driving record, personal supply of general tools, and willingness to drive among designated communities.
  • High-level understanding and ability to oversee repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • Working knowledge of fire, life, and safety procedures and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize DHI residential warranty applications on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral form, or via DHI residential warranty applications.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Bilingual/Spanish. Ability to read and write in Spanish a plus.
  • EPA -608 Type II minimum certification, EPA -Proctorship, CPO certification a plus.
  • Community onboarding and disposition experience a plus.

Salary Range:

$100,000 - $135,000
