Crisis Outreach Supervisor

The Mental Health Association is seeking a Per Diem Crisis Outreach Supervisor to join our 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Team in Hudson County. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing crisis response and support to individuals in need.
Job Summary:The Per Diem Crisis Outreach Supervisor will oversee the development and activities of the MCORT office, providing remote backup to Mobile Crisis Outreach Response staff in the field. This role requires a strong background in crisis response, mental health, and leadership, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement staff development and training programs for the MCORT team.
- Provide remote backup to Mobile Crisis Outreach Response staff in the field, ensuring timely and effective crisis response.
- Engage with Crisis Outreach Responders to provide higher-level clinical services, including assessing and determining the most appropriate interventions during a crisis outreach.
- Provide ongoing supervision to the MCORT team, including Crisis Outreach Responders and Peer Support Specialists.
- Ensure training compliance for the MCORT team in areas such as de-escalation, mental health crisis, substance use crisis, and suicide prevention/education training.
- Collaborate with the Program Director to analyze data and develop reports on mobile outreach encounters, their resolution, and appropriate transition of care for individuals served.
- Provide weekend/holiday coverage on a rotating basis for 24-hour/7-day access to services.
- Record keeping, reports, and documentation in accordance with program requirements.
- Attend regularly scheduled meetings, including supervision, agency meetings, and training as assigned.
- A Master's Degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution, a professional license (LSW, LAC), and two years of post-master's full-time equivalent professional experience in a psychiatric setting are required.
- A professional with experience in a crisis setting is preferred.
- A valid NJ driver's license and a good driving record are required.
- The ability to provide effective crisis response and de-escalation as related to community mental health is essential.
- Knowledge of Hudson County resources is helpful.
