As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to individuals experiencing mental health or substance use disorder crises in the community.
Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced crisis response professional to provide evidenced-based crisis services to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of crisis intervention principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide crisis intervention services to individuals experiencing mental health or substance use disorder crises in the community.
- Collaborate with community providers and 988 managing entity to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Develop and implement systems for on-going follow-up with community members in need of connections to social services.
- Support individuals to de-escalate crisis and provide transportation to crisis stabilization and receiving centers, certified community behavioral health clinics, or hospital's emergency departments as needed.
- Record keeping, reports, and documentation in accordance with program requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution with two years post-bachelor's professional experience required.
- Valid NJ driver's license and a good driving record.
- Ability to provide effective crisis response and de-escalation as related to community mental health.
- Professionals with experience in a crisis setting are preferred.
