Sign Language Interpreting Expert

We are seeking highly skilled Sign Language Interpreters to join our team at Sorenson Communications. As a vital member of our Video Relay Service (VRS), you will play a crucial role in connecting Deaf and hard of hearing individuals with the world around them.
Salary: $40,000 - $80,000 per year (depending on location and experience)

Our VRS provides 24/7 communication access, and we are committed to delivering accurate and high-quality services.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English
- Maintain compliance with national, state, or local licensure and/or certification requirements
- Demonstrate full compliance with Sorenson standards and policies, FCC regulations, and the RID Code of Professional Conduct
- Accurately complete assigned tasks/duties, projects, and paperwork promptly and within approved guidelines
- Work effectively in a team environment and receive support from colleagues

Requirements:

- Ability to pass our required skills assessment
- A high school diploma or GED
- An associate's or bachelor's degree (preferred, but not required)
- Interpreter certification
- 3 years' experience working as an interpreter (preferred, but not required)
