Cloud Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team at Axelon. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing end-to-end solutions across IT and Network planning with third-party IVR vendors to create interfaces/APIs to support integrations with Hosted Integrated Contact Services platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, implement, and document end-to-end solutions across IT and Network planning with third-party IVR vendors to create interfaces/APIs to support integrations with Hosted Integrated Contact Services platform.
  • Provide requirements as part of solutions to automate operations, eliminate manual reentry, improve cycle time, and meet work center and product needs.
  • Develop end-to-end flows to support Sales/Contracting, Ordering, Provisioning, Maintenance, Reporting, external user interfaces, system test, and User Acceptance Test.
  • Troubleshoot network problems with 3rd party vendors and customers.
  • Ability to delve into multiple systems and create network reports.
Requirements:
  • Must have 3 years of real-world Akamai configuration experience managing various Akamai features across multiple domains. Experience with other CDNs considered (e.g., Fastly, CloudFlare, Imperva, Cloudfront, etc.).
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK stack, ability to understand metrics and impact to system performance, and ability to build dashboards and alerts to ensure system reliability.
  • Experience with Siteshield and other Akamai security features.
  • Strong scripting and coding ability across multiple languages and technologies.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, on-call as needed.
  • Proven experience optimizing reliability and performance and scaling technical infrastructure in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to provide data-driven recommendations for critical decision-making, mainly around system reconfiguration and improvement.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in cloud engineering, site reliability, DevOps, system infrastructure, or a related technical role.
  • 5+ years of experience building and/or supporting web applications.
  • 5+ years of Linux Operating Systems experience including scripting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Internet security-related experience.
  • Experience in performance tuning and application monitoring.
  • Experience in architecture and design of web-based architecture.
  • Experience in a technical leadership capacity - team lead/manager, etc.
Experience in Cloud Technologies:
  • AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Familiarity with HTML5, JavaScript frameworks, and CSS3.
