Job Description

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we're seeking a highly skilled Artificial Intelligence Engineer III to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you'll play a critical role in developing and implementing AI/ML algorithms for commercial biological or microscopy applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing AI/ML algorithms for instrument automation, computational imaging, image analysis, and data analysis.
  • Crafting algorithms that implement a wide range of techniques, including traditional image analysis and processing, numerical methods, optimization algorithms, statistical algorithms, and deep learning.
  • Developing production-quality software products using multiple programming languages, including C#, C++, and Python.
  • Designing and implementing software architecture for sophisticated applications, including multi-threaded, quasi-real-time processing, distributed computing, and cloud-based systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong statistical, mathematical, and physics background to model sophisticated microscopy and biological systems.
  • Proven track record of producing production-quality software products and experience in software engineering principles, modern agile development processes, and software architecture.
  • Authority in developing multi-threaded, quasi-real-time processing, distributed computing, and cloud-based software systems.
