Public Health Care Specialist

**Job Overview:**
We are seeking an experienced Public Health Nurse II to join our team in Warren County, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of public health concepts and nursing theory, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
Job Summary:
The Public Health Nurse II provides primary, preventive, and rehabilitative care to individuals and families in Public Health programs as an intermediate level professional nurse.
Responsibilities:
- Clinic Charge Nurse: Direct the work of other nurses, manage clinic flow, and advise staff about patient situations.
- Community Outreach Nurse: Conduct home visits, develop patient care plans, and make referrals to medical facilities and social services.
- School Health Consultant: Work with school administration to develop goals, assess children, and ensure care plans are in place.
- Team Leader: Coordinate work assignments and quality of services delivered by a team of nurses and subprofessionals.
This position requires a strong understanding of public health concepts, nursing theory, and practice. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
Requirements:
- North Carolina RN License
- 1 year of professional nursing experience
- Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Ability to complete the ‘Introduction to Principles and Practices of Public Health Nursing’ course within 1 year of employment
