Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to minimize losses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with medical staff, department heads, and administration to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and near-misses, and provide recommendations for corrective action.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive patient safety program, including training and education for staff.
- Represent risk management and patient safety on relevant committees and provide leadership and guidance on management and operational issues.
- Three to five years of clinical and/or management experience, with a focus on risk management and patient safety.
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles, concepts, and techniques, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, with a preference for nursing.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification preferred.
