Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Service Technician to join our team at Caliber Collision Centers. As a Mobile Service Technician, you will be responsible for completing air conditioning service, automotive repairs, on-site scanning support, wire repairs, and diagnostics/ADAS calibrations within your assigned market area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and develop strong relationships with customers and shop personnel.
  • Perform air conditioning evacuation and recharge services.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical repairs using various tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Understand and complete estimating, invoicing, part identification, pre- and post-quality control checklists.
  • Effectively communicate technical diagnoses and repair planning needs to customers, shop personnel, and insurance adjusters.
  • Utilize virtual support team resources to make informed recommendations.
  • Test drive vehicles after repairs are completed to ensure quality workmanship.
  • Check all parts for quality and accuracy before installation.
  • Complete assigned training and certifications, including continuing education courses.
  • Communicate with the field team to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain a well-organized work area and ensure tooling software updates are completed promptly.
  • Accountable for assigned inventory, including laptops, OE scan tools, VCI, and other equipment provided.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships through our company's purpose and core values.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of automotive repair experience.
  • Trade school experience a plus.
  • ASE or I-CAR certifications a plus.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic scan tools and factory software.
  • Obtain AC certification and follow safety standards.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related technology efficiently.
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, with a customer-focused vision.
Physical Demands
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds independently.
  • Travel may be required for continuing education and certification training.
  • Requires standing for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping.
  • Requires frequent driving of company and customer vehicles.
  • Extensive travel within assigned area is expected.
  • May have exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals.
  • Ability to work in a shop environment in inclement weather.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including facial covering, eye protection, and gloves.
