Job Summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mobile Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-tier service to our customers by completing air conditioning service, automotive repairs, on-site scanning support, wire repairs, and diagnostics/ADAS calibrations within your market area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and develop strong relationships with customers
  • Perform air conditioning evacuation and recharge services
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Understand and complete estimating, invoicing, part identification, pre- and post-quality control checklists
  • Effectively communicate technical diagnoses and repair planning needs to shop personnel, insurance adjusters, and customers
  • Utilize various tools, diagnostic equipment, and virtual support team resources to make recommendations
  • Test drive vehicles after repairs are completed
  • Check all parts for quality and accuracy before installing
  • Complete assigned training and certifications, including continuing education courses
  • Communicate with the field team to ensure efficiency and productivity
  • Maintain a well-organized work area
  • Ensure tooling software updates are completed immediately
  • Accountable for assigned inventory, including laptops, OE scan tools, VCI, and other equipment provided
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships through our company purpose and core values
Qualifications, Education & Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of automotive repair experience
  • Trade school experience a plus
  • ASE or I-CAR certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of diagnostic scan tools and factory software
  • Obtain AC certification and follow safety standards
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge and ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related technology efficiently
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, with a customer-focused vision
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds independently
  • Travel may be required for continuing education and certification training
  • Requires standing for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping
  • Requires frequent driving of company and customer vehicles
  • Extensive travel within assigned area is expected
  • May have exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals
  • Ability to work in a shop environment in inclement weather
  • Required to wear PPE, including facial covering, eye protection, and gloves
