Job Summary

Crescent Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Housekeeping to lead our housekeeping team. As a key member of our hotel's management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Direct Housekeeping Activities: Provide clear direction and supervision to housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
  • Staff Management: Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, and provide open communication to staff.
  • Financial Management: Manage finances of housekeeping and laundry operations, including budget and inventory controls.
  • Quality Assurance: Plan, organize, and monitor staff activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies, and monitor house count to make staffing adjustments accordingly.
  • Communication: Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
  • Teamwork: Perform any other job-related duties as assigned, and be available to work on a regular basis.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of Housekeeping Management experience is required.
  • Communication Skills: Must have the ability to communicate in English, but bilingual is preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Self-starting personality with an even disposition, and ability to deal effectively with employees, vendors, and contractors.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of basic sanitation requirements/controls and applications of relevant chemicals, and policies applicable to housekeeping.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills to prepare moderately complex calculations for financial reporting.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
