About the Role:

Pye Barker Fire and Safety LLC is seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing sprinkler systems to prevent or aid fires.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2-year degree in a related field and at least 2 years of experience utilizing CAD software. Strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to think in a three-dimensional manner are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop sprinkler systems to prevent or aid fires
  • Perform research and analysis, utilizing feedback from customers and other experts
  • Produce prototypes or samples, and coordinate with engineers and technicians
  • Design upgrades and enhancements, create testing structures, and conduct regular maintenance checks
  • Follow all OSHA standards and laws, attend regular development meetings, and address limitations of technologies and materials involved in the CAD process

Education/Qualification:

  • Minimum 2-year degree in related field (preferred)
  • Bachelor's or Certifications (preferred)
  • At least 2 years of experience utilizing CAD software
  • Minimum 2 years working in a professional environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects
