Position Overview:
As a Tax Compliance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assessing and enhancing the effectiveness of tax programs within the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Your expertise will be vital in evaluating program strategies and understanding the implications of regulatory changes on organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze IRS functions, policies, and operations to evaluate program plans and assess the impact of modifications on program goals.
2. Conduct thorough examinations of operations, including Refundable Credit programs and the application of tax laws, while developing procedural guidelines.
3. Utilize analytical methods to assess program delivery trends and compile report data to measure success in achieving program objectives.
4. Provide technical guidance on proposals and activities that influence program operations.
5. Conduct reviews and coordinate systems for effective program management.
6. Employ various data systems, including AIMS Centralized Data System and SQL, to generate reports and ensure accuracy in tax compliance assessments.
7. Prepare comprehensive reports on identified issues, outlining program differences and suggesting improvements for operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. This includes:
- Experience with IRS functions and the ability to evaluate program plans.
- Proficiency in conducting program reviews and utilizing analytical methods.
- Familiarity with tax compliance systems and tools.

Additionally, candidates must meet Time in Grade (TIG) requirements and have completed the necessary time after competitive appointment.
