Position Summary: The Hybrid Worship Audio-Visual Coordinator will oversee a dedicated team of both paid and volunteer technicians to ensure a seamless hybrid worship experience every Sunday. This role demands proficiency with various audio-visual technologies, including a digital mixer, multiple cameras, flat-screen displays, and an Apple computer for managing online services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Begin Sunday operations at 8:30 AM by activating AV equipment and initiating the Zoom meeting, collaborating closely with the remote Minister of Hybrid Worship.
  • Train and support a small team, including a paid student and a volunteer, to manage camera and sound board operations, while ensuring effective communication through a Tech Deacon on Zoom.
  • Provide technical assistance during worship rehearsals, focusing on sound quality and engaging visuals.
  • Address any audio-visual challenges that may arise before or during services, ensuring a high-quality experience.
  • Engage with congregants during fellowship time, fostering a welcoming atmosphere and encouraging volunteer participation in the AV team.
  • Manage AV operations during educational sessions, accommodating both in-person and online attendees.

Maintenance and Additional Duties:

  • Compensation for maintenance work beyond Sunday hours will be provided at the hourly rate, with potential for outside contractor engagement when necessary.
  • Communicate maintenance requirements to the Pastor/Head of Staff and determine the best course of action for resolution.
  • Additional responsibilities may include AV support for special services and events.

Employment Terms: This position is hourly and requires a commitment to Sunday mornings and additional hours for special services. Compensation is competitive, with paid leave and sick leave provisions.

Background Check: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation and required training.
