Job Summary:

As a Per Diem Athletic Trainer at Upstate University Hospital, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and management of casting and splinting applications. Your expertise in dressing changes, associated applications, and suture removal will be essential in ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage casting supplies to ensure adequate inventory and maintain appropriate levels of casting and splinting supplies.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on specific care related to casts, splints, dressings, and durable medical equipment.
  • Fit patients and provide instructions on a variety of DME.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR and BREG DME Dispensing software systems to facilitate patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with billing and insurance procedures to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Anticipate doctors' and patients' needs while performing on a multi-task level to facilitate patient flow.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and certification by the BOC (Board of Certification).
  • Current Athletic Training Certification.
  • Current New York State Athletic Training Licensure.
  • Current CPR and AED certification.

Compensation:

$55,341 - $64,272 (L1)

Please note that salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market, and business considerations.
