Faculty Position in Behavioral Health and Social Sciences

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Sciences, specializing in Behavioral Health and Social Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching medical students across the pre-clinical curriculum and contributing to a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Our innovative, integrated curriculum focuses on student-centered, active, and engaged instructional excellence.
Responsibilities- Teach medical students across the behavioral and social sciences curriculum using various instructional methods.
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver curricular materials independently and in collaboration with other faculty members.
- Clinician candidates may also be engaged in instruction in the clinical curriculum.
- Advise and mentor medical students regarding academic, curricular, and career matters.
- Contribute to scholarly activity, service on committees, and other duties as negotiated and assigned.
- MD, DO, or PhD degree.
- Experience in teaching, scholarship, and/or clinical practice of behavioral and social sciences is highly desirable.
- Successful candidates must present evidence of an established record of, or demonstrate a strong potential for, effective teaching.
- A commitment to work productively with a team of medical educators from other basic and clinical science disciplines.
- Evidence for potential of productive scholarly and creative activity is also desired.
