Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Adjunct Faculty member to teach in our Healthcare Management program. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to quality teaching and a proven track record of teaching healthcare management in an online environment at the graduate level.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in the Healthcare Management program, including epidemiology and statistics, healthcare financial management, human resources in healthcare management, strategic planning, inter-professional teamwork and collaboration, organizational behavior, cultural competency, healthcare regulations and standards, project management and quality management and patient safety.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the program's learning objectives.
  • Assess student performance and provide feedback to students.
  • Participate in program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement program initiatives.
Requirements
  • Masters in Health Administration, Master's in Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Five years of experience in teaching healthcare management in an online environment at the graduate level, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Doctorate in Health Care Management or closely related field preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cultural competency skills and demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with diverse constituencies.
  • Ability to create inclusive learning experiences that will help graduate and/or undergraduate students to develop professionally, intellectually, and socially.
  • Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and practice inclusive pedagogy.
  • Demonstrated student-centered approach to teaching, and a commitment to student achievement.
  • Ability to assess student performance and learning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with educational assessment practices.
  • Commitment to integrity, excellence, learning, and community.
  • Experience working with Blackboard or a similar learning management system.
  • Well-developed organizational, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues.
  • Ability to travel between campuses.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position. The successful candidate will be expected to teach on a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
