Overview:
Soliant Education is in search of a proficient and passionate Special Education Teacher to take on a vital role in Peyton, CO. This position is dedicated to supporting students in grades 6-12 who face severe behavioral challenges and significant emotional regulation issues. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in managing complex behaviors and a dedication to delivering outstanding educational assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the specific needs and behavioral challenges of students.
  • Provide direct educational support to students experiencing severe emotional and behavioral difficulties.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to ensure a unified approach to student education.
  • Monitor student behavior and implement strategies to foster emotional and behavioral regulation.
  • Create a structured and nurturing classroom environment that promotes learning and personal development.
  • Engage with families and stakeholders to support student advancement and address any concerns.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Document student progress and make necessary adjustments to instructional strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with students exhibiting severe behavioral and emotional challenges.
  • Strong foundation in special education, particularly with grades 6-12.
  • Proficient in developing and managing IEPs.
  • Team-oriented mindset with experience in collaborative educational settings.
  • Valid state certification and licensure in Special Education.
  • Able to manage a caseload of 20-25 students as enrollment increases.
