Job Summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will provide expert patient care and support during surgical procedures.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert perioperative patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Function as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures.
  • Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and as outlined in the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory.
  • Use knowledge and expertise to act as a role model and resource for other staff.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (American Heart Association).
  • Current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • 1+ year of experience required.
  • Hospital experience preferred.
