As a Residential Child Care Investigator with the Department of Family and Protective Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in residential care facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough investigations into allegations of child abuse and neglect, as well as to assess the compliance of these facilities with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct investigations into allegations of child abuse and neglect in residential care facilities
Assess the compliance of facilities with relevant laws and regulations
Document findings and prepare reports for use in court proceedings
Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure the safety and well-being of children
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social work or child development
2+ years of experience in a related field, such as child protective services or social work
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
