Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Audit Specialist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will provide leadership in compliance and support to our Student Financial Services programs, policies, and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in reviewing new regulations and making decisions regarding their adoption and implementation.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor internal controls for compliance with institutional, federal, and state regulations and policies.
  • Lead program and policy assessment to support compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Report to the Director of Student Financial Services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related or specialized field and five years' related or specific experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Financial aid, accounting, and/or auditing experience.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of self-motivation.
  • Previous employment in a higher education setting.
  • Experience with Banner student information system preferable.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases.
  • Strong desktop and office automation skills.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and tools.

  • Experience with Banner student information system highly desirable.
What We Offer

This is an exempt position eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy. A background check is required for this position.
