Job Summary

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) assists in the delivery of patient care as established by the licensed Occupational Therapist to reach treatment goals through a written treatment plan. The COTA will be responsible for maintaining patient records, communicating effectively with healthcare professionals, and participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of patient care as established by the licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Perform occupational therapy skilled patient treatment procedures under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist
Requirements
  • Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the State of Texas
  • Associate Degree from an accredited OTA program
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • One year experience in Acute/Rehabilitation Therapy, preferred
