Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team. This role offers a competitive weekly compensation ranging from $2,322 to $3,216, and is part of the Associate Travel Program within the MRI Tech department.

Work Schedule

Multiple shifts are available, ensuring a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week. This position requires travel to various locations beyond 50 miles from your residence.

Position Details

This is a permanent, full-time role consisting of travel assignments lasting between 8 to 13 weeks. Please note that this is not a temporary or short-term position. Compensation rates may vary based on location and specialty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize a scanner to capture images for the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions.
  • Prepare and position patients accurately, selecting appropriate anatomical and technical parameters to generate cross-sectional images.
  • Conduct patient pre-screening, scheduling, and provide education regarding the examination process.
  • Manage patient data, transferring images from disk to magnetic media, and developing film using an automatic processor.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS, including correct lead markers and patient data/history.
  • Maintain the functionality of equipment and report any potential issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in keeping the department organized and clean, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
QualificationsLicensure / Certification / Registration:
  • Current BLS Provider certification required within one month of hire or transfer date, accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • One or more of the following credentials are required:
    • Cardiographic Tech credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
    • Nuclear Medical Tech credential from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in MRI credential from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
    • Medical Sonographer credential from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
    • Technologist specializing in MRI credential from American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency with two years of cumulative experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or four years of relevant cumulative job-specific experience.
