About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the Medical Director of Radiology and Department Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures on patients ranging from Neonatal to Geriatric, consistently producing high-quality images.
  • Follow established scanning protocols and operate the MRI scanner and related equipment efficiently and effectively.
  • Complete quality scans in a timely manner, effectively organizing and prioritizing workflow to meet STAT and urgent demands.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma, acute, and challenging patients, modifying positioning and scanning factors when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with Radiologists, conveying image findings and disease processes.
  • Demonstrate accountability for clinical responsibilities and safety practices in the MR department.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an America Medical Association-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Completion of courses in MRI - Magnetic Resonance Imaging and cross-sectional anatomy.
  • One year of experience performing MRI - Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures.
  • Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT (R) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the Association of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • MRI post-primary certifications required 1 year post MRI assignment.
  • BLS required per St. David's HealthCare Policy.
Work Environment

This role requires a 7p - 7a shift, with no weekends. Call is required, to be discussed during the interview.

The compensation for this role is $32-42 p/hr, with additional night and weekend differentials.
