We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at Community Veterinary Partners. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.
Job Summary:The Licensed Veterinary Technician will be responsible for assisting veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures, as well as providing hands-on support in patient care and treatment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures, including preparing patients for surgery and administering anesthetics.
- Perform clinical laboratory procedures, such as fecal flotation exams, heartworm checks, and urinalysis.
- Take radiographs and perform EKGs as needed.
- Provide exceptional patient care, including administering medications, injections, and performing emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including laboratory results and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing education on animal care and treatment options.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless patient care and efficient practice operations.
- Current licensure or certification as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; previous veterinary practice experience preferred.
- Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
