Role Summary:
The Senior Vice President of IT Infrastructure & Technology is responsible for establishing a strategic vision and providing leadership in the design, development, and execution of IT initiatives. This role is pivotal in delivering innovative, top-tier solutions that enhance member service value. Key responsibilities include guiding the Credit Union's IT Help Desk, Server & Data Storage Management, Multi Data Center Asset Management, Network & Telecommunications Infrastructure, Business Continuity, and IT Applications Management. The Vice President will ensure that the IT infrastructure is dependable, secure, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives, thereby creating value for both the organization and its members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and mentor the leadership team to enhance the technology management and execution capabilities of the organization.
  • Support various IT functions, including Network Operations, Telecommunications, Service Desk Support, and Server Management, ensuring reliability and accessibility for business users.
  • Analyze the current technology landscape to identify critical gaps and propose solutions for necessary improvements to meet organizational goals.
  • Establish an operational plan for the infrastructure to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Implement and oversee processes and controls to maximize uptime and ensure prompt service delivery for both on-premise and cloud-based workloads.
  • Collaborate with the Information Security Team to ensure all IT activities comply with internal and external standards, maintaining a secure and safe environment.
  • Assist with technical implementations and troubleshooting as required.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors, fostering strategic partnerships to optimize technology solutions and secure favorable pricing.
  • Conduct assessments of network requirements and contribute to the design and installation of network infrastructure.
  • Work with third-party providers and internal teams to ensure the computing platform meets the desired business performance levels.
  • Evaluate hardware and software requirements and capabilities for network operations.
  • Develop and adhere to the departmental budget.
  • Establish and manage IT system access and security protocols.
  • Oversee computer operation scheduling, backups, storage, and retrieval functions.
  • Negotiate contracts with consultants and vendors for services or products.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and participate in special projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing infrastructure teams.
  • 7+ years in progressively responsible technology leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead a team of highly skilled professionals across various IT domains.
  • Extensive experience in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional customer service and project management capabilities.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
