About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to join our team at the Alameda Food Bank. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading our fundraising efforts and developing strategies to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to support the Alameda Food Bank's mission and goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, including major gift donors, foundations, and corporations.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to identify and pursue new funding opportunities.
  • Manage and analyze data to track fundraising progress and make informed decisions.
  • Develop and implement events and campaigns to engage donors and promote the Alameda Food Bank's mission.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and development.
  • Proven track record of success in securing major gifts and developing strategic fundraising plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and analyze data.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to the Alameda Food Bank's mission and values.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of success in managing teams and developing strategic plans.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit database management and administration, with experience using tools such as Network for Good.
