Junior Financial Analyst

Department:

Overview

The Junior Financial Analyst is tasked with working alongside the Finance Director and fellow analysts to ensure adherence to standards in managing financial documentation.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Key Responsibilities

Daily tasks may encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Reconciling financial ledgers, journal entries, and bank statements
  • Engaging in audit evaluations
  • Evaluating the financial implications of services and programs, while overseeing ongoing service costs
  • Compiling documents and reports in response to inquiries from governmental and third-party entities
  • Developing and maintaining statistical reports
  • Supporting routine operations and special initiatives within the accounting team
  • Performing other related tasks as assigned within the accounting framework

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, ideally within a healthcare setting
  • At least 2 years of experience in data analysis using spreadsheet software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Required Skills

  • Ability to clearly communicate accounting principles and procedures
  • Strong numerical skills for performing accurate arithmetic calculations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Capable of operating a computer and calculator efficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail; adept at posting and calculating figures and preparing financial statements according to established methods

Collaboration with Other Departments

This role will involve interactions with fellow accountants, clinic managers, and senior management.

Physical Requirements

Occasionally requires a small amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. The position involves prolonged periods of sitting, and hearing acuity is necessary for effective communication.
