The **Sales Associate** role at **Banners Hallmark** is ideal for individuals who thrive on interpersonal interactions and enjoy teamwork.

This position requires the ability to enhance the shopping experience through comprehensive product knowledge and attentive customer service, aimed at consistently boosting sales and operational efficiency.

The primary responsibilities of the Sales Associate include, but are not limited to:
  1. Achieving Sales Goals: Contribute to revenue growth by delivering outstanding customer experiences while managing various tasks. Understand the objectives of the company and store.
  2. Customer Interaction and Product Expertise: Actively engage with customers to understand their needs, fostering relationships and sharing valuable product insights.
  3. Operational Standards: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly environment on both the sales floor and in the stockroom daily. Participate in shipment processing, restocking, and other operational duties.
  4. Visual Merchandising: Assist in implementing company merchandising guidelines to ensure effective presentation and adherence to standards.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.

Expectations:

The Sales Associate is expected to deliver exceptional customer service and exemplify best practices in sales and service.

This role involves collaboration with the Store Manager to ensure smooth operational functioning. The Sales Associate will share knowledge, communicate daily priorities, and manage routine tasks effectively.

Key duties include:
  1. Sales Performance: Understanding all aspects of store operations and metrics; setting goals in the absence of the Store Manager. Driving revenue while ensuring a high level of customer service and executing opening/closing tasks according to company standards.
  2. Customer Engagement: Building relationships with customers and enhancing their experience through product knowledge.
  3. Operational Excellence: Ensuring cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom. Participating in and leading shipment processing and restocking efforts.
  4. Merchandising Standards: Utilizing company guidelines to make effective merchandising decisions.
  5. Training and Development: Assisting in onboarding new team members by providing training in customer service and operational procedures.

  • Familiarity with technology; experience with computer-based training is preferred.
