Role Summary

The Aquatic Fitness Instructor plays a vital role in delivering engaging water exercise classes.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Proficient in the principles and methodologies of effective water exercise instruction.
• Able to engage and interact with a diverse audience.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Strong personal integrity and character.
• Exceptional communication abilities.
• Previous experience in leading water exercise classes and relevant certifications are preferred.
• Successful completion of an E-Verify check is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

1. Foster a welcoming atmosphere in all YMCA program areas, taking the time to engage with members and greet them warmly.
2. Utilize approved techniques for water exercise instruction consistently.
3. Commence and conclude all classes on time.
4. Proactively connect with members to support their health goals and align their interests with YMCA offerings.
5. Exhibit a professional demeanor at all times.
6. Maintain courteous and knowledgeable interactions.
7. Ensure a safe environment by monitoring surroundings and assisting members with proper exercise techniques.
8. Facilitate connections among members to build a sense of community.
9. Address member inquiries and oversee activities in the fitness area.
10. Respond promptly and courteously to member feedback and concerns, adhering to established procedures.
11. Engage with members regarding their involvement in YMCA programs and events.
12. Model and enforce the Code of Conduct and Healthy Living Policies, positively interpreting these guidelines to members.
