Role Summary

The Aquatic Fitness Coach will be tasked with leading water aerobics sessions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in the principles and methods of effective water exercise instruction.
• Able to engage and interact with a diverse population.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Possess strong personal values.
• Excellent verbal communication skills are essential.
• Prior experience in conducting water exercise classes and relevant certifications are preferred.
• The selected candidate must successfully complete an E-Verify check.

Key Responsibilities

1. Foster a welcoming atmosphere in all YMCA program areas, engaging with members and greeting them warmly.
2. Utilize approved water exercise techniques consistently.
3. Ensure classes start and finish on time.
4. Actively connect with members to support their health goals and align their interests with YMCA offerings.
5. Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
6. Provide courteous and knowledgeable assistance.
7. Ensure a safe environment by monitoring members and providing guidance on proper exercise techniques.
8. Encourage community building by facilitating connections among members.
9. Address member inquiries and oversee activities in the fitness area.
10. Respond promptly and courteously to member feedback and inquiries, adhering to established procedures.
11. Engage with members regarding their involvement in YMCA programs and events.
12. Uphold and communicate the Code of Conduct and Healthy Living Policies, addressing member issues positively.
