The Forge Process Controller will be responsible for overseeing and regulating forging operations to ensure compliance with metallurgical standards and production specifications. This role involves a comprehensive training program across various shifts, equipping you with the necessary skills to excel in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage forge shop furnaces to maintain precise temperature settings in accordance with both internal and customer specifications.
  • Observe and record the production of forged components, ensuring metallurgical oversight.
  • Document and communicate any deviations from established procedures or customer requirements to relevant stakeholders.
  • Utilize temperature measurement tools, including optical and infrared pyrometers, to assess the temperature of materials and equipment.
  • Propose modifications to forging instructions or manufacturing orders in collaboration with supervisory and engineering teams.
  • Conduct analytical tasks such as reviewing heating durations, downtime, and investigating production issues.
  • Stay updated on metallurgical advancements that may impact forging quality by working closely with engineering teams.
  • Support safety and quality initiatives within the ATI Forged Products division, ensuring adherence to safe work practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Fundamental reading, mathematical, and measurement skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Associate degree in Metallurgy is preferred.
  • Prior experience with heavy manufacturing equipment is advantageous.
