Heat Treat Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heat Treat Supervisor to join our team at ATI. As a Heat Treat Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising hourly employees on assigned shifts in the operation of the Heat Treat Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise hourly employees in the heat treating of carbon, alloy, and titanium forgings to ensure compliance with customer and ATI specifications.
  • Maintain and train a workforce to perform heat treat operations consistently with quality requirements in a cost-effective manner.
  • Coordinate scheduling of manpower and equipment with Department Scheduling dashboards and participate in Production Control meetings.
  • Assist the Heat Treat Senior Leader in identifying process improvements and capital expenditures to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance ATI Forged Product's competitiveness.
  • Support Forge Shop Engineering and Die Design in investigating and implementing cost reductions and quality improvements through tooling, process, or equipment revisions.
  • Ensure compliance with ATI Forged Product's quality requirements through application of ISO 9002/AS9100A systemic procedures and work instructions.
  • Promote employee involvement in problem-solving and participation in Labor/Management Teams.
  • Ensure the highest level of safety and good housekeeping in the work environment through implementation of the ATI Forged Product's Safety Program.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in heat treat functions.
  • High school diploma or GED.
Preferred:
  • Associates Degree.
