Job Title: Marine Service Manager

At Louisiana Cat, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Service Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for leading our Service Department and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and profitability.
  • Manage the Shop Service P&L and conduct weekly staff meetings to coordinate activities, provide guidance, and communicate company strategy.
  • Oversee diesel engine inspection, service, and repairs, as well as manage the work order process from opening jobs to final invoices.
  • Develop customer quotes for complex jobs and execute the approval process.
  • Exemplify our Corporate Values of Integrity, Customer Focus, Accountability, and Teamwork.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of management experience in diesel engine service and repair in the marine industry.
  • Advanced skills and experience with MS Office software, including MS Excel and spreadsheets.
  • Previous experience as an Equipment Manager or Service Manager/Supervisor in a related industry is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Caterpillar programs DBSi, DSI, SMIS 2, and PSEL is a plus.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and leverage performance metrics related to efficiency, productivity, profitability, safety, market share, resource deployment, and general operations.
  • Exceptional communication, management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations as they relate to the industry.
