The Credit Balance Analyst is responsible for examining posted transactions to identify the reasons behind credit balances. This role entails the precise resolution and management of potential credit balances for both health plan payers and patients/guarantors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct detailed analyses to ascertain necessary corrections for accounts.
2. Utilize advanced knowledge of insurance payer payment processes and interpret Explanation of Benefits effectively.
3. Determine the appropriate course of action, which may include:
a. Issuing refunds to patients or insurance companies.
b. Facilitating payment transfers.
c. Executing reversals or adjustments of contractual allowances or administrative changes.
4. Ensure accurate postings and refunds to the appropriate payers as needed.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Qualifications:
- Education: GED or High School Diploma (Required)
- Certification/License: None specified
