Role Overview:

We are on the lookout for a skilled Electric Bicycle Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring that our customers' bicycles are maintained to the highest standards, allowing them to enjoy peak performance throughout the year. If you have a passion for bicycle mechanics and troubleshooting electric bike systems, we want you to be a part of our exceptional service department. Weekend availability is a requirement for this position.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position is $18.50, with consideration given to various factors such as experience, education, and relevant skills.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with bicycles in a professional environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a genuine interest in assisting electric bike users.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work setting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements:
  • Physical ability to ascend and descend ladders.
  • Capacity to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods, up to 8 hours daily.
  • Able to lift, push, pull, and carry weights exceeding 65 pounds without assistance.
  • Proficient manual dexterity with various hand tools and equipment.
  • Availability on weekends and certain holidays is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with bicycles, electric bicycles, or automotive vehicles.
  • Prior experience in a bicycle shop or customer service role.

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of the electric bike industry and our product offerings.
  • Service customer bicycles, addressing both routine maintenance and complex repairs while ensuring all safety checks are completed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop, assisting with inventory management of tools, spare parts, and accessories.
  • Support the training of junior mechanics and assemblers.
  • Engage in field service requests from local customers in collaboration with our Commercial Sales Division.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and overtime as needed.
