Coffman Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical systems for our clients in the healthcare, laboratory, industrial, and energy markets.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC and plumbing consulting engineering, with a minimum of ten years of experience. A Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field is required, as well as registration as a P.E. We are looking for a team player with exceptional technical writing and communication skills, who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Coffman Engineers, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from conceptual design to construction administration. You will be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, creativity, and a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative mechanical systems for clients in the healthcare, laboratory, industrial, and energy markets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects
  • Develop and maintain technical skills and knowledge in HVAC and plumbing consulting engineering
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
  • Registration as a P.E.
  • Minimum ten years of experience in HVAC and plumbing consulting engineering
  • ASHRAE Certifications and active industry involvement preferred
  • Energy modeling experience is a plus
  • Experience with MS Office programs
  • Desire to work as a pro-active team player
  • Exceptional technical writing and communication skills
