We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at Adventist HealthCare. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Radiology department.
Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI scanners and ancillary equipment with proficiency and accuracy.
- Train new employees on the use of MRI equipment and procedures.
- Perform MRI safety procedures on patients with implantable devices.
- Understand and apply principles of oral and intravenous contrast administration.
- Accurately document MRI exams, contrast administration, and other relevant information in electronic medical records and other systems.
- Maximize patient throughput and demonstrate teamwork with coworkers to manage patient load.
- Collaborate with radiologists, referring physicians, nurses, and other departments to ensure best patient care.
- Perform periodic quality assurance procedures as necessary.
- Contribute to the time management of the department by being punctual and adhering to hospital standards.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT-accredited school of radiography.
- One year of scanning experience; three years of MRI experience preferred.
- ARRT advanced certification in MRI.
- IV certification preferred.
- State of Maryland radiation technologist license.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
