Job Title: Driver

At OATS Transit, we are seeking a reliable and compassionate Driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will play a vital role in providing safe and reliable transportation to seniors and individuals with disabilities in the St. Charles, MO area.

Responsibilities:
  • Treat riders with respect, dignity, and courtesy, assisting them on and off the bus as needed.
  • Safely secure wheelchairs and other mobility devices, following all applicable procedures.
  • Ensure the excellent condition and cleanliness of assigned OATS vehicles and equipment.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues for repairs.
  • Utilize in-vehicle tablets to receive trip information, updates, and validate pick-up and drop-off times.
  • Complete required paperwork and submit to the regional office in a timely manner.
  • Attend routine paid training and comply with federal, state, and company rules and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 25 years of age.
  • Hold a Class E or CDL license with no more than 4 points assessed.
  • Pass a U.S. DOT physical and road test.
  • Pass a drug screening and undergo random drug/alcohol testing.
  • Be bondable.
  • Have a proactive, helpful, can-do attitude with flexibility to adjust to different schedules and routes.
  • Be neat, organized, and able to work independently.
  • This is an active job that requires many physical demands, including sitting, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying. Must be able to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds.
